“Crypto Finance is a pioneer in the field of digital asset management and we look forward to the mutual exchange of know-how that will support the future development of this ecosystem,” says Adrian Schatzmann, Managing Director of AMAS.
The Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) welcomes a new member in the person of Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG. This is a first, as Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG is the very first member of AMAS to focus on digital asset management.
Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG, headquartered in Zurich, has been confirmed as a new member of the Asset Management Association Switzerland (AMAS) and has been welcomed by the steering committee. Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG, part of the Crypto Finance Group, is Switzerland’s first collective asset manager for digital assets authorized by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). In addition to the first authorized Swiss crypto fund, Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG also offers other investment funds for crypto assets.
For AMAS, the membership of Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG is a first: it is the first membership of a Swiss asset manager focusing solely on digital assets and further proof of the diversity of the Swiss asset management industry and its future-oriented development.
“An innovative ecosystem has developed in Switzerland around blockchain technology and its applications in the field of digital assets, which we see as increasingly relevant for the future development of Switzerland as a place of asset management and its international competitiveness”, says Adrian Schatzmann, Managing Director of AMAS. “Crypto Finance (Asset Management) AG is a pioneer in this field and we look forward to the mutual exchange of know-how which will support the future development of this ecosystem”.
Jan Brzezek, CEO of Crypto Finance Group, says: “We are delighted to join AMAS and look forward to having a dialogue about the opportunities this new asset class and blockchain technology offer the asset management industry. . As pioneers in the field of digital assets, we have been managing crypto funds since 2017 and launched the first FINMA-regulated crypto fund at the end of 2021. As a regulated provider in this field, we are happy to play a role asset to make crypto accessible to institutional and professional investors.”
As part of its innovation strategy, AMAS is committed at various levels to developing and promoting blockchain technology and its applications in asset management. Thus, AMAS maintains close exchanges with the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters (SIF) on the possible need to extend the law on DLT and to make changes to the law on collective investment schemes ( LPCC). AMAS also cooperates with Home of Blockchain.swiss, an organization created by the Swiss Blockchain Federation for the global promotion of the Swiss blockchain industry.
Other activities of AMAS in this area include, in addition to promoting training and continuing education opportunities, a pilot project carried out in collaboration with the Multichain Asset Managers Association (MAMA), which has successfully managed for more than a year of digital assets in the form of a collective investment solution on the blockchain and which completely dispenses with intermediaries.
